The Really Wild Food & Countryside Festival is held in St Davids, Britain's smallest City. A favourite location of artists, travellers and pilgrims and situated within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, St Davids, or Dewisland, is surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery renowned for its beauty and abundance of wildlife.
This beautiful area has just received two new accolades:- UK readers of Coast Magazine have voted the 186 mile coastal path as their favourite, and National Geographic Magazine have rated the Pembrokeshire Coast with its 50 beaches as joint 2nd best coastal destination in the world!!
Visitors feel a very special atmosphere when they come to St Davids and the City is rich in early Christian heritage. Adjacent to the magnificent Cathedral which nestles, almost hidden, in a grassy hollow beneath the tiny city, stands the ruins of the medieval Bishops Palace.
It is an excellent base for walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, birdwatching on the cliffs or on Ramsey Island, enjoying the beaches at Whitesands and Newgale, or surfing, coasteering and kayaking off the coast.
Just outside St Davids lies a peaceful field with a stunning view of St Davids Head and Ramsey Island. Here is where we hold the Really Wild Festival. The field is well-drained and has ample space for parking. It's only a few minutes walk from St Davids, which you can reach by public transport.
We have a wonderful 100m long marquee and plenty of other undercover areas so there's no need to worry if the weather isn't perfect.
The big marquee is full of exhibitors, and features a kitchen area where some of the best chefs in Wales will demonstrate some amazing Wild Food recipes.
Outside there are smaller marquees, yurts and trade stands offering a wide variety of food, drink, crafts and exhibitions, as well as plenty of tables and chairs so you can enjoy your purchases.
There's a children's area, and a fab beer tent with local beers, ciders and other delicious alcoholic beverages.
