One of the dilemmas of sharing your life with dogs is what happens if you want to go away and can’t take them with you? I know a lot of people are happy to leave their dog in kennels but it is not a solution for us.
Our rescue dog Honey, spent ten months in kennels before we adopted her – nearly half her life – we couldn’t for one minute let her think she’d been “sent back”. As for Riley our chocolate Labrador, she just wouldn’t get it! So it was wonderful to discover Preseli Pet Care in Rosebush owned and run by Sally Cateroche, where your dog is looked after in Sally’s home and treated as part of the family. Our two went for their trial overnight stay and they loved it, not least because Sally took them on some very exciting walks, they came back exhausted and very much looking forward to their holidays and as for me, well I breathed a sigh of relief at having found an answer to my prayers!
