The final cook-off of the Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards took place at the Festival and despite the pressure, as expected the finalists produced some fabulous dishes even though they had to work under the scrutiny of a salivating crowd. And they even had to provide a running commentary!

Alison Belton of Pembrokeshire Tourism writes:

For those of you not at the Really Wild Festival, you missed one of the most spectacular events which I've ever witnessed. I do cry easily, but it was absolutely brilliant.

Each chef cooked a main and dessert dish, judged by celebrity chef Peter Vaughan. We've asked that Peter keep the result a secret until the night of the Awards as we too want a complete surprise.

Only one chef had ever demo cooked before - it was a completely new experience to the other two. They all took to it like pros and I tell you "Masterchef" had better watch out. The kitchen looked wonderful, the commentary and interaction with Peter Vaughan kept the audience seated for over 3 hours and the chef's did live commentary as if they'd been doing it all their life.

The food was just outstanding, and the presentation was superb.
