Really Wild Dining Club

We held the first RWDC meal of 2012 at Cwtch* Restaurant in St Davids on Thursday, February 2nd.

Every seat was taken and there were quite a number of new members joining us for the first time. Andy Holcroft the Head Chef and his team in the kitchen did us proud. It's not a great time of year to gather wild ingredients, and even more difficult for a busy chef to find the time to go searching, but he rose to the challenge and presented us with a great meal. This is what we enjoyed:-

  • Solva Shore Crab Bisque with Crispy Seaweed
  • Abercastle Herring Three Ways-Devilled, Soused and Beer-Battered Roes with Chervil Aioli and Salsa Verde.
  • Hunters Game Casserole with Venison, Pheasant, Rabbit, Partridge and Pigeon with Sweet Herb Crust.
  • Ginger Mead Panacotta with Rhubarb and Ginger Compote and rum Soaked Raisins
