Go REALLY WILD all year round!
Not just for summer.... If you love going Really Wild, how about joining the Really Wild Dining Club? Eat superb food cooked by Passionate Pembrokeshire Chefs, with ingredients all either foraged, or locally sourced.
Although the Really Wild Food & Countryside Festival is the main event of the year, we like to put on events that persuade people to visit Pembrokeshire during every season. The Really Wild Cawl (soup) Competition takes place to celebrate St Davids Day in March. The Cawl Crown is up for grabs each year and is keenly fought by pubs restaurants, and individuals who want to show off their cawl-making skills.
Each competitor makes up a large quantity of cawl, often from a recipe that they keep secret. The public come into the City Hall which has been decorated with daffodils and bunting and taste every soup, make notes about all of them and then vote for their favourite.
For the last two years the winner has been Tara Guy from the Farmers Arms in Goat Street, St Davids, who has scooped the most votes from the public and retained the title Queen of Cawl.
