A new programme will be available following the Really Wild Festival. The following examples offer you a 'taster' of what you can expect:-
The north Pembrokeshire coastline is a seashore medicine chest. The rich diversity of wild plants has a long and sound history of herbal medicine. Join Medical Herbalist Lara Bernays on a walk to learn about the heritage and science of medicinal seashore plants. Along the way she will discuss plant identification and sustainable harvesting of herbs in this habitat including medicinal seaweeds. Discover how to make instant first aid remedies for simple ailments out in the field and learn how to make your own seaweed skin products. Including a wild lunch.

Join Jonathan Williams from Cafe Môr and explore the wonderful world of seashore foraging on the beautiful north Pembrokeshire coast. Primarily focusing on seaweeds, seashore plants and shellfish, you will learn how to identify and collect fresh produce from the sea's garden.
Following a morning of seashore foraging we will venture on to a well stocked kitchen to cook up a mixture of Welsh favourites and Cafe Môr specialities, or prepare the collected food in the open-air.
This course with Jonathan, will give you the confidence to recognise several species of seaweeds, shell fish and seashore plants, so that you too can start enjoying the riches of the sea. Be prepared to get sandy, wet and full of seashore goodness!

Learn to identify and collect free food from the seashore and coast. Local cuisine has a strong culture of making the most of plants from the seashore. Join enthusiastic gastronomer Tom Bean on a walk along the shoreline to explore the rich diversity of edible plants and seaweeds. Discuss Welsh heritage and sustainable and safe harvesting of seashore plants. Return to the kitchen with our bounty and take part in turning super-healthy seaweed and seashore weeds into fine cuisine!
